House music originally came from the American city of Chicago in the early 1980s. House music was never very big in the USA, but House Music in Europe was a whole different story. Since the early to mid-1990s, house music has been infused in mainstream pop and dance music worldwide. Today, house music remains popular in clubs and in the mainstream pop scene, but also EDM aka Electronic Dance Music is very popular in the States. Wherever you go in America, EDM music is played on the radio and in clubs from David Guetta, Afrojack, Avicii and Tiesto. Ultra Music Festival is an annual outdoor electronic festival that occurs in March in the city of Miami in Florida. Every DJ or act that makes Electronic Dance Music can be found in Miami and therefor has one of the best lineups imaginable. Also big artists like Madonna are jumping on the EDM bandwagon and she performed together with Avicii on Ultra. The festival atmosphere can be best compared with the atmosphere on some of the best Loveparades in Berlin. Crazy dancing people in strange clothes who are having the time of their lives.
